Toronto's BMO Field opens new south stand for the tournament
Capacity expanded to 45,000 for Canada's two group matches and three knockout fixtures.

Canadian Premier League officials cut the ribbon yesterday on the redeveloped south stand at BMO Field — Toronto's primary World Cup venue. The new section adds 17,000 seats and a covered concourse. Canada plays Belgium in its second group match here on June 19. Public-transit upgrades to the Bathurst-Front intersection are now live; expect a 12-minute walk from Union Station.
